Meghan O'Brien

My work involves community education and technical assistance to communities in support of their business and economic development efforts, with an emphasis on retail trade and services.

Areas of Expertise

My areas of expertise include economic and financial analysis, accounting, mortgage banking, household finance, and retail trade analysis.

Current Research

My current research interests include retail trade, entrepreneurship, housing and real estate, and public choice economics.

Services

My services are delivered via printed and Web-based reports and publications, periodic research reports and studies, public speaking appearances, print and broadcast media interviews, and direct technical assistance to communities. I collaborate with Extension staff and researchers in other ISU departments and centers, providing data and assistance to support ISU and College of Agriculture economic outreach activities.
